As announced, we'd like to provide you with the latest information on the Paintball BigGame Mahlwinkel in this issue. Germany's largest paintball event is growing rapidly under new management, and the supporting program is expected to set new standards. Since we at Paintball Sports are now involved in the event planning ourselves, we can give you firsthand information about what to expect at this year's event. We can already promise you this much: A visit will definitely be worth it!

What are you doing on the long Father's Day weekend at the end of May? We've already finalized our plans: We're back at the Paintball BigGame in Mahlwinkel! In the last issue, we reported on the new management team behind the scenes of the event. Now the project is gradually taking shape, and we can already promise you that the BigGame Mahlwinkel 2025 will be by far the largest paintball event ever on German soil. The big question, of course, is: How many players will ultimately attend? As of press time in mid-March, around 500 tickets had already been sold – and that's just three months before the event! So there's still plenty of room for improvement, and we're sure that many more players and teams will register before the start. The event organizers are certainly prepared. Co-organizer Nick Ikonomidis from Airsofthelden has already announced that it doesn't matter how many players ultimately come – it will definitely be a top-class event. According to him, the Big Game will be staged as if there were 2,500 players in attendance. His goal is to give the Big Game in Mahlwinkel a completely new look and make everything even bigger and better than in previous years. Anyone who knows Nick knows that he delivers on his promises.

We at Paintball Sports have been on board as co-organizers since this year and have detailed insights behind the scenes. Therefore, we can confirm: What Nick says is true. The event is growing in all areas and this year offers more than ever before. The trade show alone will reach a completely new dimension with ten exhibitors. Never before have so many major brands been represented with their own stands. Visitors can look forward to Dye, Planet Eclipse, HK Army, Enola Gaye, Push, DLX Europe, Capital City Shooters and ProSha r, among others. The latter is responsible for the paint supply on site. The Weekend Warrior Shop will also be represented with a huge booth area. Stefan and Ken from Weekend Warrior will also take on the role of generals of the RED and BLUE teams. Both have years of event experience and were previously responsible for mission design and game processes at SBG, ESG and WoP MagFed Sunday. Players can therefore look forward to action-packed scenarios over the three event days. In addition to the paintball offerings, the supporting program is also growing. On Thursday evening, after the first official day of play, a big party will take place at the trade show. This year's theme is "Mallorca Party!" With bucket drinking, a beer wheel, beer pong tables, Ballermann music, a few fun girls, and the perfect atmosphere, it's an evening you won't want to miss. Celebrating Father's Day and playing paintball—this combination is only available in Mahlwinkel. There's also a special offer for tech-savvy gamers this year. The manufacturers will offer several tech classes, which you can sign up for free at the event at the respective tent.

Since spots are limited, it's worth arriving early. The tech classes take place in the evenings, so your gaming experience doesn't have to be interrupted during the day. An exciting new feature is the collaboration between BigGame Mahlwinkel and the Operation Black Sky event. OBS organizers Ulli and Martin will be there on Thursday and will answer any questions about Europe's toughest 24-hour MagFed event at their pop-up booth at the trade show. This is a great opportunity to meet them in person, ask questions, or simply have a relaxing beer with them.

It's also interesting to note that Ulli and Martin have already indicated that they envision an even closer collaboration between the two events in the future. So, it will be interesting to see what that entails. Those who don't have their own paintball equipment can still participate in BigGame Mahlwinkel. In cooperation with event partners Planet Eclipse and Dye, high-quality rental equipment is available, which can be booked in advance via the event website along with the event ticket. This makes it possible to bring along friends who simply want to try paintball without having to own their own equipment.
