Your paintball mask is the most important part of your gear and should always be in pristine condition. You should check your mask glass for cracks or damage before every game. If something is wrong, you MUST exchange the glass immediately. It's for your own safety. Getting a paintball in your face or eye can cause very serious injuries, including loss of sight or, in the worst case, death.
You should also make sure that your mask always fits correctly and that the chin strap is fastened so that you cannot lose your mask in the event of a fall.
First of all, remove the mask glass from your mask and put it aside. Then you grab some soap and lather your mask well. It's easiest if you just take them straight into the shower after playing. Then simply rinse off with clear water and let it air dry. If you don't clean your mask for a long time, the remaining paint will leave behind unsightly spots that, in the worst case, you can't get rid of.
There are two different types of mask lenses. Thermal and single glazing.
You take your dismantled mask glass and remove the coarse paintball residue with a damp microfibre cloth. Then simply polish with a dry microfiber cloth. And you're done.
Under no circumstances treat the mask glass with a cleaner or hold it under running water. If you hold it under running water, the water can get between the two layers of glass and create water stains that you can't remove. In the worst case, the foam layer will leak and you can throw away your glass.

If it is single glazing, i.e. not thermal glass but only a coating, then we have many great care products from Dynamic Sports Gear for you. You can use it to restore a damaged coating, for example. After everything has dried, you reassemble the mask completely and store it in a mask bag. Before you go onto the field the next time, check everything again very carefully. Because as you know: SAFETY FIRST!
