The Earmor M31H headset can be mounted directly on the helmet and protects against dangerous loud noises and allows quieter ambient noises to be heard. Sounds are detected by two directional microphones and reproduced or amplified by the loudspeakers in the sleeves.

The M31H provides audible protection in noisy areas with impulsive sounds. The microphones mounted in the earmuffs improve the user's situational awareness, allowing them to hear surrounding sounds and protect their hearing. Harmful noise is limited to a safe level of 82dB, the lower levels are boosted.
